Church Hall and Community Centre

The Hall is available for Regular and Single bookings.

Please contact the Hall Lettings secretary. for enquiries and bookings

Hall stage

In 2010 the Church Hall underwent £150,000 of refurbishment which included work to make the Hall disability accessible, provide new spacious modern kitchen and toilet facilities and restore the beechwood floor. In 2018 a new heating system was installed.

The Hall is a light and airy space with a proscenium arch stage at one end; although the stage is not available for productions. The hall comfortably accommodates a full badminton court with moderately high arched ceiling and no beams or hanging lights.

In addition to Church activities the Hall is well used by a number of local organisations for Badminton, Keep-Fit, Line Dancing, Dog Training and Orchestral Rehearsals.

But we are always interested to hear from Community Organisations who might be looking for space, particularly in the daytime, to let.

Hall Lettings

The Hall is available for regular lettings and one off bookings for children's parties etc. However please note we have a finish time of 8pm for parties and receptions in order to keep noise and disruption to our neighbours at a minimum. We regret that there are no smaller rooms available for letting.

Currently, in general, the one off bookings hourly rate is £40.20, children's parties are for 3 hours for £120. In addition a deposit of £200 is required against additional cleaning and damages. This deposit is returnable if the Hall is left in a clean and undamaged condition. Regular bookings attract a discount and cost £25.50 per hour.

NB all booking fees rise annually in October, generally in line with inflation.

Please contact the Hall Lettings secretary. for all enquiries and bookings

PLEASE NOTE if you intend to sell alcohol at any event you hold in the Hall you will need to obtain a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from the London Borough of Merton and we will need to see a copy of the approved Notice. Details of this process can be obtained here http://www.merton.gov.uk/business/licences/licensing/temporaryeventnotices.htm
